Self Care at Home

No spa no problem!

1. Step 1 – Massage
Abhyanga is a type of massage done with warm oil, such as jojoba or sweet almond oil. Start
with your head: apply the oil to the roots of your hair and massage the scalp, be sure to rub
your ears too. Next, you can go to the hands, direct the movements to the heart. After that,
apply the oil to your belly, moving clockwise; then – on your feet. Pay special attention to
your elbows and knees, these areas tend to have the driest skin. Finally, massage your feet.
After the massage, you need to wait 15-30 minutes for the oil to penetrate the skin and
nourish it. To avoid boredom, throw a robe over your shoulders and have a cup of tea or read
a book.

2. Step 2 – Take a bath
Nine times out of 10, you probably prefer to take a shower over a bath. They’re just so much
more convenient and quicker! But don’t forget how taking a bath can make you feel. Grab
bath salts or your favourite bath bomb, light a couple of candles and relax. Remember to
make sure the water is not too hot, as this can leave your skin feeling dry.

3. Step 3 – Use a hair mask
Hair masks are creams that are full of nourishing ingredients that revives your hair from the
damage and harsh factors it gets exposed to almost daily. It might seem similar to regular
conditioners; however it has much higher concentration levels of nutrients that give your hair
a bigger boost from the inside out instead of just on the surface.

4. Step 4 – Apply a face mask
Face masks don’t just offer results that improve the overall appearance of your skin, they can
also be quite therapeutic. When they’re infused with aromatic essential oils like mint and
rosemary, a face mask can lift your spirit by stimulating your senses. Using a face mask
should be treated as a luxury.

5. Step 5 – Light a candle
Let us not forget the simple things that bring us joy. It takes seconds to light a candle, and yet
it can fill a space with warm, comforting aromas and help you set intentions.
If we look and feel healthy we feel better. It’s that simple. With our skin being something we
see every day, healthy-looking skin especially on the face not only gives us a radiance, but
also confidence and a feel-good factor. It’s your unique look that I can help maintain,
preserve and enhance to ensure you are the best embodiment of yourself for yourself.
We all deserve healthy-looking skin and to glow on the outside as well as the inside.
