How much is a private prescription?
To get your private prescription you must have a consultation with the Doctor first. The cost of a 30 minute consultation is £155 on weekdays and £175 on weekends. When you go to the pharmacy to fill your prescription, you will need to pay the cost of the medicine. Unlike NHS prescriptions which are all £9.95, the cost of the prescription is dependent on the drug and the pharmacy.
Can I get a prescription without seeing a GP?

How do I get a private prescription filled UK?
You can go to any pharmacy and hand in your prescription. The price of your prescription depends on the pharmacy and the drug. Remember to bring along a valid form of ID for the pharmacist.
How long is a private prescription valid?
A private prescription is valid for up to 6 months after it was issued, unless the medicine prescribed contains a controlled medicine. A prescription for a controlled medicine is valid for 28 days from the date on the prescription.

How to book private blood tests near me
To book a blood test, you must first book a consultation with the GP. During your consultation you discuss which blood test you want, and the Doctor can do a blood draw during the appointment and send it off for testing. Please note the cost of the blood test is an extra charge on top of the consultation price.
